Product Description

HARRY HOLLAND was born in Brentford west London in 1942. He never really knew his father and was severely abused as a youngster by a family friend. He took up boxing at a young age to try to prove, as he says, his masculinity. He had a good amateur career and even toyed with the idea of turning Pro. He then got into the music business with a friend and promted the likes of Shakin’ Stevens, Mungo Jerry, Gene Vincent and Screaming Lord Sutch. Then he opened a highly successful amateur boxing gym before joining thr Professional ranks as a trainer and promoter, where the likes of Andy Till, Rocky Kelly and James Cook flourished under his guidance. Outside the ring Harry has worked with Frank Warren, Micky Duff and Don king whilst inside the ring he has worked with the likes of Nigel Benn, Dennis Andries, Audley Harrison and many more. This is a no-holds-barred account of his life and pulls no punches. It is funny, sad, honest, eye catching…. and at times very moving. Come on buy it you’ll love it.
